Description
- Conduct thorough property inspections to identify disrepair and maintenance issues.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommended actions.
- Liaise with contractors and oversee repair work to ensure compliance with agreed standards.
- Advise on property improvement plans and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant public sector construction regulations and guidelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, actions taken, and outcomes achieved.
- Respond to tenant and stakeholder queries regarding property disrepair issues.
Profile
Good knowledge of building pathology, disrepairs and contract management is essential.
A successful Disrepair Surveyor should also have:
- A qualification in construction, surveying, or a related field.
- Experience in identifying and managing property disrepair issues.
- Knowledge of public sector regulations and standards in construction.
- Strong report-writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in overseeing contractors and ensuring quality control.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
