  • Inspect properties to identify disrepair issues and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and schedules of works for necessary repairs.
  • Ensure properties meet legal and safety requirements.
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors and other stakeholders regarding repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor progress of repair works to ensure timely and quality completion.
  • Provide expert advice on disrepair cases to support legal processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, recommendations and completed works.
  • Assist in resolving disputes related to housing disrepair claims.

Profile

A successful Disrepair Surveyor should have:

  • Strong knowledge of housing disrepair legislation and standards.
  • RICS (ideal, not mandatory)
  • Experience conducting property inspections and preparing reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tenants, contractors and legal teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to recommend practical repair solutions.

Job Offer

  • Hourly rate between £45 and £50ph, dependent on the level of experience.
