📢 SITE-BASED DOCUMENT CONTROLLER – SUTTON-IN-ASHFIELD

We’re currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join a major education project in Sutton-in-Ashfield, working for a leading main contractor.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Document Controller who enjoys being close to the project and working as part of the site team.

🔹 Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
🔹 Project: Large-scale education project
🔹 Contractor: Main Contractor
🔹 Salary: Up to £40,000 + package
🔹 Employment: Permanent or Freelance considered
🔹 Working pattern: Primarily site-based, with 1–2 days WFH potentially available depending on experience and requirements
🔹 Systems: Autodesk / BIM 360

The role

You’ll be responsible for supporting the project team with the day-to-day management and control of project documentation, ensuring information is accurately recorded, distributed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

We’re particularly interested in people who have experience working in a construction/site environment and are comfortable using Autodesk / BIM 360 or similar document management systems.

We're open to speaking with candidates looking for either a permanent position or freelance opportunity, so if you're currently contracting but would consider the right permanent role - or vice versa - we'd be happy to have a conversation.

What we're looking for:
✅ Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction
✅ Strong understanding of document control processes
✅ Experience with Autodesk / BIM 360 preferred
✅ Comfortable working closely with site and project teams
✅ Good attention to detail and organisational skills
✅ Ideally someone who enjoys a predominantly site-based role

The flexibility question is negotiable - we're happy to discuss the right arrangement for the right person, although this is fundamentally a site-based position.
