We’re looking for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of over £100 million, delivering complex Mechanical & Electrical projects across the UK. Based from their Central London office, you’ll report to the Lead Document Controller and support the management and distribution of project information across technically demanding M&E projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with 3+ years Document Control experience, ideally within M&E/building services, looking to join a stable and supportive team.


Key Responsibilities

·      Manage and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

·      Upload, issue, distribute and archive drawings, specifications, reports and other project information.

·      Maintain document registers and ensure information is accurately recorded and tracked.

·      Manage revisions and ensure teams are working from the latest approved documentation.

·      Support the production and maintenance of O&M documentation and handover information.

·      Coordinate information between the project team, subcontractors, consultants and clients.

·      Carry out regular checks to ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with project procedures.

·      Assist with QA and document control processes across live projects.

·      Attend project/site meetings where required and follow up on outstanding documentation.

·      Visit Central London sites to support project teams and ensure document control processes are being followed.


Salary & Additional Info: 

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + Paid Travel + Hybrid Working


About You/The ideal candidate will have:

·      3+ years experience working as a Document Controller within construction.

·      Previous experience working on M&E projects.

·      Strong understanding of document control procedures, revision management and document registers.

·      Experience using construction EDMS/document management systems.

·      Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

·      Confident communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

·      The ability to manage competing priorities and work to project deadlines.

·      A proactive approach and the confidence to chase information when required.
