Salary: £24,784.50 - £25,484.79 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Intervention Support Worker to join our specialist accommodation team in Sandwell, delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support to adults and families living in safe accommodation following domestic abuse.

This is a rewarding frontline role where no two days are the same. You'll provide practical, emotional and advocacy support, helping survivors move towards safety, independence and long-term recovery.



The Role

As a Domestic Abuse Intervention Support Worker, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of residents living within refuge and safe accommodation.
  • Carry out comprehensive risk and needs assessments.
  • Develop personalised support and safety plans.
  • Deliver one-to-one interventions and facilitate recovery-focused group programmes.
  • Support individuals to access housing, welfare benefits, healthcare, legal services and other specialist support.
  • Work collaboratively with statutory agencies and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Promote empowerment, resilience and independence through a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service monitoring and safeguarding responsibilities.


About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults within domestic abuse, homelessness, housing, social care or a related setting.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse, safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing complex caseloads and delivering person-centred support.
  • The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a supportive team.
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

Important Information

  • This role requires regular travel, and applicants must hold a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
