Domestic Electrician in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire

I am looking for a domestic electrician to work in the Newcastle Under Lyme region with a leading housing association.

You will play a key role in carrying out high-quality electrical installations and associated works as part of a planned kitchen replacement programme. This role involves working in occupied and void properties, ensuring all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations.

This is a 39 hour per week position - Monday - Friday. 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday. 3:30pm finish on Friday.

The Electrician will receive:

• £41,000 Per Annum + Callout opportunities after passing your probation.
• Van provided for work purposes only.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following:

• Assessing job requirements including taking dimensions, organising materials, plant, tools and equipment and carrying out testing procedures
• Completing all appropriate certification in a concise, legible and accurate manner
• To carry out Pre & Post Inspections as directed by your line manager.
• To plan, deliver and record all work undertaken using a PDA system or other systems as directed by your line manager.
• Maintaining suitable tailored imprest van stock
• To undertake electrical repairs, installation and testing work, including:
• Carrying out electrical work in domestic and commercial buildings including consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs and fault finding to BS7671 current edition
• Carrying out Electrical Inspection Condition Report and Electrical Installation completing of the necessary test certification to BS7671 current edition and in accordance with current IET Wiring Regulations
• Completing other electrical certifications where required hence to comply with Part P of the Building Regulations
• Any associated remedial works
• Being fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works of both 230v and 415v
• Ensuring compliance with the current edition of IEE Wiring Regulations at all times, and that the appropriate materials are used and installed to manufacturer's instructions

Requirements:

• 18th Edition
• 2391 Testing and Inspecting
• AM2 (ideal but not essential)
• Driving Licence (with less than 6 points and no recent disqualifications)
• Able to pass a basic DBS
