Ganymede Solutions

Gas Repair Engineer

£46,250 + £1,500 guaranteed first-year bonus / 40 hours per week / Permanent

Ganymede Energy is working with an established and growing provider of heating and maintenance services across the UK, recruiting for an experienced Gas Repair Engineer to join their team.

This is a business that has been looking after customers in their homes for over 30 years. With more than 350 engineers across the UK, they have the scale and resources of a large organisation, while still placing a real emphasis on supporting their people.

They’re also an award-winning employer, with a strong focus on creating a workplace where people feel valued, listened to and able to build a long-term career.

The Role

As a Gas Repair Engineer, you’ll visit customers in their homes to diagnose faults with central heating systems and carry out the necessary boiler repairs.

This is a role where your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills really matter. You’ll be dealing with a variety of boiler breakdowns, identifying the cause of the problem and working towards a safe and effective first-time fix wherever possible. You’ll need to be confident with fault-finding and have a good understanding of basic electrical systems, including using a multi-meter to help diagnose boiler faults.

You’ll be working independently for much of the day, but you won’t be on your own. You’ll have the support of an experienced team, along with access to dedicated training and field-based coaching to help you continue developing your skills.

What’s on offer

  • £46,250 basic salary
  • £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
  • 40 hours per week with annualised hours: fewer hours in the summer and more during the busier winter months, while maintaining consistent pay throughout the year
  • Overtime & call-out opportunities
  • 33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays, with the option to buy, sell or carry over up to one week
  • Company van, fuel card, tools, uniform and PPE provided
  • Sick pay and maternity/paternity pay
  • A strong pension scheme with income protection
  • Access to a private, award-winning training centre and dedicated field coaches
  • Up to £2,500 through a Smart Tech & Home Improvement salary sacrifice scheme, including retailers such as IKEA and Currys
  • Genuine opportunities to develop and progress within the business
  • A supportive team where good work is noticed and appreciated
  • The opportunity to work for an award-winning employer that invests in its people

  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • A good understanding of basic electrical systems

  • A genuine “can do” attitude and willingness to keep learning

The role would suit someone who is confident in their trade, enjoys solving problems and wants to be part of a business that genuinely supports its engineers.
