Ganymede Solutions
Domestic Plumber
£36,720 - £40,120 + £1500 guaranteed first-year bonus / 40 hours per week / Permanent
Ganymede Energy is working with an established and growing provider of heating and maintenance services across the UK, recruiting for an experienced Domestic Plumber to join their team.
This is a business that has been looking after customers in their homes for over 30 years. With more than 350 engineers across the UK, they have the scale and resources of a large organisation, while still placing a real emphasis on supporting their people.
They’re also an award-winning employer, with a strong focus on creating a workplace where people feel valued, listened to and able to build a long-term career.
The Role
As a Domestic Plumber, you’ll visit customers in their homes to diagnose and repair a range of plumbing issues.
You’ll be working independently for much of the day, so you’ll need to be comfortable assessing problems, finding practical solutions and carrying out high-quality repairs. Just as importantly, you’ll be representing the company in customers’ homes, so a friendly and professional approach really matters.
You’ll have the support of an experienced team around you, as well as access to dedicated training and field-based coaching whenever you need it.
What’s on offer
- £36,720 - £40,120 basic salary, depending on experience
- £1500 guaranteed bonus in your first year
- 40 hours per week, including some weekend, evening and bank holiday work
- Overtime & Call-out opportunities
- 33 days’ holiday, including bank holidays, with the option to buy, sell or carry over up to one week
- Company van, fuel card, tools, uniform and PPE provided
- Sick pay and maternity/paternity pay
- A strong pension scheme with income protection
- Access to a private, award-winning training centre and dedicated field coaches
- Up to £2,500 through a Smart Tech & Home Improvement salary sacrifice scheme, including retailers such as IKEA and Currys
- Genuine opportunities to develop and progress within the business
- A supportive team where good work is noticed and appreciated
- The opportunity to work for an award-winning employer that takes employee development and wellbeing seriously
About you
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing a good job and enjoys helping customers.
You’ll ideally have:
- Level 2 qualification in Plumbing – certificates will need to be provided if successful
- Experience with both 1st and 2nd fix plumbing
- Previous experience working as a plumber in domestic properties
- A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Good customer service skills and the confidence to deal with customers in their homes
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good attention to detail
- A genuine “can do” attitude and willingness to learn
You don’t need to have everything figured out from day one. What matters is that you’re experienced in your trade, take pride in your work and want to be part of a team that supports its people.
If you’re looking for a stable role with a company that’s continuing to grow, invests in its people and offers genuine opportunities to develop, we’d love to hear from you.
