Domiciliary Care Worker

Locations: Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Woodford Green and Wanstead
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Flexible shifts, including weekdays, evenings and weekends

We are recruiting experienced, compassionate and dependable Domiciliary Care Workers to support older people in their own homes across Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Woodford Green and Wanstead.

You will provide person-centred care that helps individuals remain safe, comfortable and independent while being treated with dignity and respect.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence support
  • Supporting clients with mobility and safe transfers
  • Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking
  • Providing medication support in accordance with care plans
  • Offering companionship and emotional reassurance
  • Supporting clients with daily routines and household tasks
  • Accurately recording visits and care notes using our electronic care app
  • Reporting concerns or changes in a client’s health and wellbeing
  • Following safeguarding, infection-control and confidentiality procedures

Essential requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have at least three years’ previous care experience
  • Have experience supporting older people in their own homes or a similar care setting
  • Be confident providing personal care
  • Hold a Care Certificate
  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Be comfortable using a smartphone and electronic care app
  • Be friendly, patient, respectful and reliable
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references
  • Be able to travel reliably between clients in the local area
