Talentmark are recruiting for a Downstream Scientist to join a company in the animal health and pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 6 months initially. This role is site-based at our client's site in Speke, Merseyside.

Salary:
£15.38 to £20.51 per hour, depending on experience
 
Downstream Scientist Role:
  • Plan and execute laboratory and pilot-scale studies through hands-on experimentation.
  • Deliver downstream purification processes to support clinical programs and business milestones.
  • Provide technical and operational expertise in downstream processing within development laboratories and pilot plant environments.
  • Author high-quality technical reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of GxP compliance during experimental execution and documentation
  • Support the maintenance and readiness of downstream laboratory equipment.
Your Background:
  • Hold a relevant life science degree or have equivalent working experience.
  • Some industry experience in biopharmaceutical downstream development or manufacturing.
  • This role is ideal for an early-career scientist with downstream purification experience who is ready to take technical ownership of processes
  • Experience with the following would be an advantage
    • FPLC Chromatography
    • TFF
    • Depth Filtration
    • Process Scale Up
    • JMP Data Analysis Software.
    • Familiarity with GxP Standards.
