GSL Education London Branch is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Drama and Music Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary comprehensive school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Drama and Music Teacher who is committed to inspiring young people through the performing arts and music.

Responsibilities
  • Teach KS4 Drama and KS3 Music to students of varying abilities.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress effectively.
  • Prepare students for examinations and performances.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage participation in school productions, concerts, and extracurricular activities.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leaders.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a Drama and Music Teacher within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Drama and Music.
  • Experience teaching KS4 Drama and KS3 Music.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating young people.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
