Draughtsman

GVR Solutions are working with a well-established specialist joinery fit-out contractor based in Loughton, Essex, delivering high-quality bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects across the commercial, residential and high-end sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Draughtsman to join their team and play a key role in the design and delivery of their projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Draughtsman:

• Produce detailed technical and manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery and fit-out projects.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, setting-out drawings, elevations, sections and detailed construction drawings.
• Liaise with clients, architects, designers, site teams and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, design intent and manufacturing requirements.
• Review and amend drawings in line with client comments and project changes.
• Work closely with the workshop and site teams to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
• Manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support the wider design and project teams throughout the delivery process.

Requirements of the Draughtsman:

• Previous experience as a Draughtsman within the joinery, cabinetry, furniture or interior fit-out sector.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawing and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or relevant CAD software.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate design concepts into detailed technical information.
• Good understanding of joinery construction, materials and installation methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
