Driver Installer

A Driver is required for delivery and assisted installation of horticultural products across London from our clients central hub in SE16.  This is a temporary role working Monday to Friday 7am till 5pm, however, we may be able to offer part time hours Monday to Wednesday. We are recruting for someone who is a confident and experienced driver with great knowledge of London's road network and the challenges of loading bays.

This is a customer facing role, where you will deliver a range of plants and interior design products to colleagues and clients across London. Sayjo Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for this temporary role, that may become permanent dependent upon additional skills in horticulture. It is a great opportunity for a skilled London driver who wants to be more customer facing and active with the products delivered. 

The role involves delivering, collecting, and assisting with the setup of plants, planters, displays, and associated materials at client sites. This position requires careful handling of live plants, excellent customer service skills, and good knowledge of London’s road network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, and deliver live plants, planters, tools, and installation materials to client locations across London.
• Assist with installation or collection of interior landscaping features, including office plants, green walls, and seasonal displays.
• Ensure proper handling and protection of plants during transit to avoid damage.
• Check delivery schedules and routes daily to ensure timely service.
• Use GPS and route-planning tools to optimise delivery runs.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Liaise with clients onsite when delivering or collecting, maintaining a professional and friendly manner.
• Handle paperwork such as delivery notes, collection records, and job sheets.
• Support the horticulture team during large installations or moves when needed.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence (clean or with minimal points).
• Experience on London's road network 
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier, ideally in horticulture, facilities, or a similar industry.
