📍 Milton Keynes (Covering Two Sites)
🕑 Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm
💰 Salary: £45,000 per annum
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Driver Trainer to join our team, supporting operations across two sites in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about driver development, compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our driver workforce remains fully trained, compliant, and operating to the highest safety standards. Alongside training responsibilities, you'll also provide office support and holiday cover when required, making this a varied and rewarding position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and inductions for new drivers.
- Deliver driver training and ongoing coaching.
- Carry out regular refresher training on SSOW procedures.
- Coordinate and complete annual DDP (Driver Development Programme) requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, producing reports and recommending improvements.
- Monitor and maintain driver compliance and training records.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the operation.
- Provide administrative and office support during periods of holiday or absence cover.
- Work closely with transport and operational teams to ensure service excellence.
- Previous experience in a Driver Trainer, Transport Trainer, Driver Assessor, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance and driver best practice.
- Experience conducting driver assessments and training programmes.
- Confident investigating incidents and producing detailed reports.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence.
