The Opportunity I'm currently recruiting for a Dry Stack Operative to join a well-established marina operation in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a passion for customer service, and would like to build a career within the marine industry.

Whether you already have boating experience or are looking to break into the sector, full training can be provided for the right individual.

The Role As a Dry Stack Operative, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the dry stack facility, ensuring boats are launched, recovered and stored safely while delivering an excellent service to customers. You'll be part of a close-knit team, working in a busy marina environment where no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Launching, recovering and storing customer boats safely and efficiently.

  • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.

  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the dry stack facility.

  • Working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Using computer systems to manage bookings and operational tasks.

  • Maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and presentation across the site.

What I'm Looking For
  • Previous customer service or customer-facing experience.

  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.

  • Strong teamwork skills alongside the ability to work independently.

  • Calm and professional under pressure.

  • Comfortable learning and using computer software.

  • A full UK driving licence is essential.

Previous boating or marina experience and knowledge of local cruising grounds would be advantageous, but it isn't essential as full training will be provided.

Working Hours This position operates on a 4 days on, 2 days off rota, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

  • Summer (1 April – 30 September): 9-hour shifts

  • Winter (1 October – 31 March): 8-hour shifts
