Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Monday - Friday

Salary: £270 - £290 per day

Job Description

The Drylining Site Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of drylining operations on construction sites within the designated region. This role entails effective planning, coordination, and supervision of drylining teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. The Site Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise and manage drylining operations on site to meet project deadlines and specifications.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of drylining operatives, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all work complies with health and safety legislation and best practises, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and manage resource allocation, including labour, materials and equipment, to optimise efficiency and minimise wastage.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure accurate delivery of drylining works.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and site documentation.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or delays promptly to maintain project momentum.
  • Promote a positive working environment and foster teamwork and professionalism among site personnel.
  • Ensure site cleanliness and adherence to environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Relevant construction management qualification or equivalent experience in site management.
  • Valid health and safety certification, such as Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent.
Experience
  • Proven experience managing drylining or internal finishing works on construction sites.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully managing site teams and delivering projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with current health and safety regulations and construction industry standards.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients and site personnel.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant construction management software and tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of drylining materials, techniques and industry best practises.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily based on construction sites across Yorkshire and the Humber region, with frequent travel to locations within South Yorkshire and Doncaster.
  • Full-time hours, typically Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to meet project demands.
  • Work involves exposure to typical construction site environments including variable weather conditions and physical activity.
  • Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to strict health and safety protocols at all times.
