Are you a passionate Design & Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity in the Cranbrook area?

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the relevant secondary age groups. You will inspire students to develop their creativity, practical skills and understanding of Design & Technology while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.

You will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons.

• Teach across the relevant secondary year groups and abilities.

• Develop students' practical, creative and technical skills.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Follow the school's curriculum, policies and expectations.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the DT department and wider school.

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.

• Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for DT.

• Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons.

• Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Be able to engage and motivate students of different abilities.

• Be reliable, professional and adaptable.

• Be available to commit to the role through to December 2026.

• Temporary DT teaching position until December 2026.
