Dustcart Driver - PM SHIFT [HGV class 2]

Job Title: Dustcart Driver [HGV Class 2]

Location: East London

Job details:

• Pay frequency - paid weekly every Friday
• Pay rate - option of PAYE (£18.92 p/h, no fees, annual leave accrued) or Umbrella (£25.40 p/h, fees incurred, no annual leave accrual)
• Shifts - Monday to Friday, 2PM-10PM (job and knock - finish early, paid for full shift). After break deductions, paid 36 hrs per week standard.
• Duties - To drive dustcart vehicle for a local borough council as part of the waste team. Candidate will be with a crew and designated a route within the borough, collecting domestic, commercial and green waste from residential and commercial areas. Once route is complete, crew will then return back to the local tip to tip waste. Must adhere to traffic regulations and company policies at all times.

Essential:

The below are non-negotiables for a candidate to be considered for this role:

• Valid manual UK Driving Licence (must hold category C to permit operating HGV Class 2)
• Valid UK Driver Card (digital tachograph)
• Valid UK Driver Qualification Card (CPC)
• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work within a team

Desirable: The client would prefer candidates who have previous experience driving dustcarts or rear steering vehicles. However, this is not essential, so candidates without this can still be considered for the role.
