We are actively sourcing enthusiastic ECTs who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with diverse learning needs, including:
- Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC / ASD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Whether you are seeking your first formal induction post or looking to build hands-on experience through long-term placements, our dedicated SEN division will match you with the right supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, adapt, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and independence.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and dedicated SEN Support Assistants.
- Monitor student progress, manage individual learning targets, and track development effectively to meet your ECT induction standards.
- Utilise positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to support student well-being.

- Qualifications: Hold UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be on track to graduate as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
- Passion: A genuine commitment to special education and inclusion, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Resilience: Strong emotional resilience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward professional growth.
- Compliance: Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to process one through Tradewind).
