Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – ASAP Start Location: North London – NW3 5UL
Salary: Competitive, dependent on qualifications and experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
We are looking for a qualified and passionate Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a well-established and supportive nursery setting in North London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional to join an experienced team and provide engaging, creative and nurturing learning opportunities within a warm, supportive and inclusive environment.
About the Role As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing, helping them to develop confidently at their own pace.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting children's social, emotional and educational development through play.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and structured environment that encourages independence and learning.
- Using indoor and outdoor learning spaces effectively.
- Observing, monitoring and supporting children's progress and development.
- Contributing to children's learning journals, observations and assessments.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Supporting positive behaviour and acting as a strong role model.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to the nursery team.
- Supporting children with their individual learning and development needs.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and professional conduct.
- Attending staff training, INSET days and meetings where required.
- Ensuring the wellbeing, care and safety of all children is maintained at all times.
- Is passionate about Early Years education and children's development.
- Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is creative, enthusiastic and confident working with young children.
- Has a positive, warm and nurturing approach.
- Is organised and has excellent attention to detail.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Is flexible, reliable and proactive.
- Is confident working in a busy nursery environment.
- Has a genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
- Is committed to safeguarding, equality and inclusion.
- A full and recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
- Experience supporting children's learning, development and observations.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and children's welfare.
- The ability to create engaging learning opportunities through play.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to complete a new Enhanced DBS.
