Smile Education is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a vibrant primary academy in East Hull for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

Situated in a well-connected area of East Hull, the school is within easy reach of Bilton, Holderness, Sutton-on-Hull, Garden Village, Marfleet, Longhill, Hedon, Preston, Cottingham, Hessle and the surrounding areas, making it an ideal location for teachers travelling from across the region.

The Opportunity
As an Early Years Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping children develop the confidence, skills and enthusiasm they need for lifelong learning. Working within a supportive Early Years team, you will create exciting learning experiences that inspire every child to flourish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Planning creative lessons that support children's academic, social and emotional development.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitoring children's progress and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
- Working closely with teaching assistants, parents and carers to support each child's development.
- Promoting positive behaviour through nurturing and consistent classroom practice.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and Early Years provision.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
- Experience teaching within an Early Years setting in the UK (placements welcomed for ECTs).
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- A creative, enthusiastic and child-centred teaching style.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality education for every child.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
- Ability to provide two years of employment and/or education references, including one relating to working with children. Providing referee details during registration will help ensure a smooth compliance process and the quickest possible clearance.
- Right to work in the UK.
Registration & Compliance All successful applicants will complete Smile Education's registration and safeguarding process before starting work.
