EC&I Engineer

We are looking for an EC&I Engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment. This role will focus on reviewing, verifying and updating engineering documentation and drawings to reflect installed systems, ensuring compliance with design requirements and applicable standards.
Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will play a key role in inspections, surveys and design verification activities, helping to ensure systems are accurately documented and delivered to the highest quality standards.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Deliver EC&I engineering activities in line with project scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
- Review and update engineering documentation and drawings from detailed design through to as-built status.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys of EC&I systems to verify installation against design requirements and manufacturing drawings.
- Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation, engineering records and design deliverables.
- Ensure effective configuration control and document management processes are applied throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to design reviews and technical assessments.
- Promote compliance with engineering standards, quality processes and industry regulations.
- Identify and communicate technical risks, ensuring appropriate controls and mitigation measures are implemented.
- Support safe working practices and contribute to a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Experience in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) engineering and design.
- Strong experience with as-built activities, including site surveys, inspections and updating engineering drawings/documentation.
- Ability to interpret and verify installations against engineering designs and technical specifications.
- Good understanding of engineering design principles and safety requirements.
- Experience working within regulated engineering environments.
- Familiarity with quality assurance, document control and configuration management processes.
- Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering software and applications.
It’s great if you also have the following
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards professional registration, would be advantageous.
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering institution is desirable.
