About the Role
DK Recruitment are seeking a skilled and proactive EC&I Technician to join our clients' engineering team. This is a key role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across site to ensure maximum reliability and performance.

You’ll play a crucial part in supporting operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
  • Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime
  • Maintain and calibrate instrumentation equipment
  • Support PLC fault finding and basic modifications
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Requirements

  • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of PLC systems
  • Experience with control panels, sensors, drives, and process instrumentation
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • HNC/HND in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Experience with SCADA or DCS systems
  • COMPEX or hazardous area experience
