An Ofsted-rated 'Good' mixed comprehensive secondary school in Hornchurch is looking to appoint an ECT English Teacher to join their successful English department from September.

The successful ECT English Teacher will teach engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 while receiving guidance from experienced colleagues and mentors.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND, EAL and higher-attaining learners.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and contribute to school reporting.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Uphold the school's behaviour policy and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, CPD and wider school activities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or achieving QTS before September.
- A passion for English and inspiring young people.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reflective attitude and commitment to continuous professional development.
