Are you an experienced HCPC Registered Educational Psychologist looking for your next rewarding contract?
Redbridge Council is seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join its supportive Educational Psychology Service, delivering high-quality statutory assessments as part of the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established team while enjoying a flexible working arrangement. Assessments are completed face-to-face in schools and educational settings, with report writing undertaken from home.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs by providing high-quality psychological assessments and statutory advice to inform Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
You'll work closely with schools, families, SEND teams and multi-agency professionals to ensure every child receives the appropriate support to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Complete psychological assessments for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)
✔ Produce high-quality statutory psychological advice and recommendations
✔ Assess children's strengths, needs and appropriate educational provision
✔ Visit schools, educational settings and family homes across Redbridge
✔ Work collaboratively with families, schools, SEND Case Officers and partner agencies
✔ Ensure reports meet statutory timescales and Redbridge quality standards
✔ Maintain accurate professional records and case documentation
Requirements
✅ HCPC Registered Educational Psychologist
✅ Honours Degree in Psychology
✅ Postgraduate Master's or Doctorate in Educational Psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
✅ Experience completing statutory SEN assessments and EHCP advice
✅ Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and current Educational Psychology practice
✅ Excellent report writing and communication skills
✅ Experience working within schools and educational settings
