We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Educational Psychologist to support a busy and well-established Educational Psychology service in Northumberland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Educational Psychologist to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people while working within a supportive and cooperative team.



The Role

As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will work with schools, families and other professionals to support children and young people with a range of additional needs. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Completing psychological assessments and consultations
  • Contributing to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)
  • Providing advice and recommendations to support children and young people
  • Working collaboratively with schools, parents/carers and multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Producing high-quality psychological advice and written reports
  • Supporting positive outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)


Requirements

  • Qualified EP
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Relevant experience within an Educational Psychology service
  • Experience of completing statutory assessments and providing psychological advice
  • Strong report-writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
