EHCP and PEEP Coordinator

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • EHCP coordination and annual reviews
  • Coordinate the EHCP process across all relevant areas of the College, including Foundation Learning.
  • Plan, prepare and manage the annual EHCP review cycle, including preparing paperwork, gathering evidence and arranging review meetings.
  • Ensure EHCP information, outcomes and agreed support arrangements are accurately recorded and shared appropriately with relevant teaching and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of students’ EHCPs, annual review dates, key contacts and actions.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure that documentation is completed and submitted within required timescales.

The Successful Candidate

Cardinal Newman College is a wonderful place to work, and this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate candidate to join our dedicated ALS and Foundation Learning departments.  

The ALS and Foundation Learning Departments are seeking a candidate who has GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4–9 (A*–C), or equivalent qualifications, along with experience of working with young people in an education, support or special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) setting, including supporting learners on mainstream Level 3 programmes. The successful candidate will also have a sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Lancashire’s Local Offer.

You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality and diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.

Terms and Conditions

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks. Starting and finishing times as agreed.

Salary: The post will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff Pay Spine at points 17 to 19 - pro rata to £34,253 to £36,564 Actual Salary £33,024 to £35,252.
