EHI Routing Design Leader
Location: Toulouse, France for the first 4-6 months, then Derby, UK
Salary: £65,000

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an EHI Routing Design Leader to join an exciting engineering project within the rail industry.
The role will initially be based in Toulouse, France for approximately 4-6 months, providing project-specific training and development, before relocating to Derby, UK for the remainder of the project.
The Role of the EHI Routing Design Leader
- Leading and managing EHI design resources and activities across the project.
- Overseeing the design and delivery of electrical harness installations, producing and managing 3D harness models following mechanical integration.
- Managing EHI Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) performance, as well as managing external subcontractors, including definition of requirements, monitoring performance and acceptance of deliverables.
- Working closely with project engineering teams to ensure electrical deliverables meet project requirements.
- Capturing and implementing lessons learned and Return on Experience (RoE) from previous projects.
Performance & Delivery:
- First-time quality and on-time delivery.
- Application of standard engineering and production processes.
- Effective configuration management as well as continuous improvement and lessons learned.
Requirements of the EHI Routing Design Leader
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Significant engineering experience as well as some experience in a leadership or team management role.
- Experience with electrical 3D CAD.
- Knowledge of electrical harness integration and/or train systems would be highly advantageous and an understanding of industrial and harness manufacturing processes.
- Fluent English, French language skills would be advantageous.
