EHS Manager

A permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager (EHS Manager) to support a major infrastructure project in Northumberland. The role offers the opportunity to take a leading position in maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across a complex project environment.

An established organisation delivering a major infrastructure programme, with a strong focus on safety, environmental responsibility and operational excellence.

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will provide effective leadership and guidance across all EHS matters, ensuring legal, regulatory and project requirements are met. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing EHS strategies, monitoring compliance, undertaking audits and inspections, managing risk, and providing advice and support to project teams.

• Proven experience in an EHS/HSE management role, ideally within major infrastructure, construction or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience of conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant EHS qualifications, such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
• A proactive approach to promoting a positive health and safety culture.
