Job Description
- Lead and promote a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture through coaching, engagement, and visible support across the site.
- Manage EHS systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK legislation and recognized industry standards.
- Carry out audits, workplace inspections and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and monitored.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and introducing effective preventative measures.
- Deliver Health & Safety training, monitor performance metrics, and maintain documentation to support internal, external and regulatory audits.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental role within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, with higher-level Health & Safety qualifications advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, and compliance requirements.
- Experience carrying out audits, incident investigations, contractor management and risk assessments within a production environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
