Site Supervisor – Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EIC)
Summary
We are seeking an experienced EIC Site Supervisor for the Walsall Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in Bloxwich. This 12‑month contract offers an exciting opportunity to lead electrical, instrumentation, and control activities during key installation, testing and commissioning phases. Ideal for a skilled contractor who thrives on-site and is confident in managing complex interface requirements.

c. £550 per day (negotiable depending on experience and suitability)

Walsall ERF, Fryers Road, Bloxwich – on-site, full-time.
Client Overview
Our client is delivering the Walsall Energy Recovery Facility, a major infrastructure project designed to support sustainable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all electrical, instrumentation, and control (EIC) site activities.
- Act as the primary site interface between contractors, site management, and engineering teams.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning to meet project milestones.
- Enforce HSEQ standards, ensuring compliance with approved RAMS and safety protocols.
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage site progress and issue resolution.
- Support defect management, punch lists, and close-out activities.
- Drive safe, effective, and timely project execution to maintain quality standards.
- Identify and escalate site changes, deviations, and technical challenges.
- Proven experience supervising EIC works on industrial or energy projects (EfW, power generation, oil & gas, etc.).
- Strong background within live construction and commissioning environments.
- Knowledge of installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Familiarity with HV/MV/LV systems, PLC/DCS, and instrumentation integration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent understanding of HSEQ requirements and safe systems of work.
- Effective coordination and leadership skills for managing subcontractors.
- Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
- SSSTS or equivalent – essential.
- HV switching or authorisation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Experience dealing with mechanical-electrical interfaces.
