Electrical and/or Mechanical Fitter

Working as part of the Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly of precision-engineered products, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
You will build products from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions, carrying out self-inspection throughout the assembly process while supporting testing, commissioning and continuous improvement activities.

£28,000 - £32,000 per annum + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical assembly of precision-engineered products
- Wiring electrical systems in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
- Building products from drawings, samples and verbal instructions
- Installing, testing and commissioning electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Carrying out mechanical operations including drilling, tapping, cutting and soldering
- Supporting cooler builds and brazing activities (training provided where required)
- Completing self-inspection to ensure products meet quality standards
- Maintaining accurate build documentation and production records
- Supporting stores, parts kitting and stock control activities when required
- Working safely in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- Previous experience within Electrical Assembly, Mechanical Assembly or Electro-Mechanical Fitting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment
- Experience carrying out electrical wiring and mechanical fitting
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Ability to inspect your own work and identify quality issues
