Electrical Assembler / Electrical Fitter

Location: Near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Rate: £19.26 per hour
Overtime: £28.88 per hour
Contract: Long-term / Ongoing
Payment: Self-employed or Limited Company available

We are currently recruiting Electrical Assemblers / Electrical Fitters for a long-term contract with an established engineering company based near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Fitter, Electrical Assembler, Vehicle Electrician, Automotive Electrician, Electrical Technician or Maintenance Electrician looking for stable, ongoing work in a hands-on engineering environment.

You will be responsible for electrical assembly, electrical fitting, panel wiring, cable installation and electrical installation on specialist machinery, vehicles and plant equipment.

Experience working with 12V or 24V electrical systems would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Installing, routing, securing, and terminating electrical wiring and cables

Electrical assembly and fitting of components and equipment

Panel wiring and panel fitting

Connecting and terminating electrical components

Wiring vehicles, machinery, specialist equipment and plant

Reading and working from electrical and mechanical drawings

Carrying out electrical testing and checking completed installations

Electrical fault finding and rectification

Ensuring wiring and installations meet engineering and quality standards

Working safely and accurately within an engineering environment

Skills & Experience

We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

Electrical fitting / electrical fitter

Electrical assembly / electrical assembler

Electrical installation

Electrical maintenance

Automotive electrical work

Vehicle electrical systems and vehicle wiring

Wiring machinery, plant or specialist equipment

12V / 24V electrical systems

Cable routing, crimping and termination

Panel wiring and electrical panels

Reading electrical drawings and wiring diagrams

Reading mechanical drawings

Electrical testing and fault finding

Hands-on engineering or manufacturing experience

You do not need experience in every area listed above. If you have a strong practical electrical background and hands-on experience with wiring, electrical assembly, vehicles, machinery or plant equipment, we would be keen to hear from you.
