If your crimps are neat and your looms are tidier than everyone else's, read on.
Our client is a leading defence and aerospace manufacturer, and they need a hands-on Electrical Assembly Technician to build cable harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies to exacting military standards.
You'll:
- Build and terminate harnesses and looms from engineering drawings
- Crimp, solder and assemble connectors, then dress and lace to spec
- Fit heat shrink, backshells and shielding
- Self-inspect as you go
- Test continuity, insulation resistance and function
- Keep traceability and records spot on, and flag non-conformances early
You'll need:
- Proven harness, wiring loom or electro-mechanical assembly experience
- Confidence reading drawings, schematics and wiring schedules
- Hands-on crimping, soldering and cable prep skills
- An eye for detail and the discipline to follow processes precisely
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certification are a bonus, as is defence, aerospace or naval experience. Security clearance experience helps too.
It's a chance to do skilled work where quality is the whole point, on hardware that matters.
