Electrical Buyer (construction)

Location: West Midlands (Office Based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + Company Car

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Buyer to join a leading construction company based in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused procurement professional to play a key role in sourcing electrical materials and managing supplier relationships across a range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for procuring electrical materials and equipment, negotiating pricing and supplier agreements, managing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and ensuring materials are available to meet project deadlines. You will work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and suppliers to achieve best value while maintaining quality, compliance, and programme requirements.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have proven experience as an Electrical Buyer or Senior Buyer within the construction or M&E sector. You will possess strong negotiation and supplier management skills, a sound understanding of electrical products and supply chains, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent commercial awareness, communication skills, and proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office are essential.
