Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer will:
- Design electrical systems for industrial machinery and automation equipment.
- Produce electrical schematics, panel designs, wiring documentation and Bills of Materials.
- Support the design and integration of electro-mechanical systems.
- Carry out electrical and electronic prototyping, testing and validation activities.
- Maintain and improve existing product designs.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support product development projects from concept through to release.
The Electrical Design Engineer will have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years' experience designing electrical and electronic systems within an industrial environment.
- Experience designing electrical panels, wiring looms and machine wiring systems.
- Strong CAD experience, ideally using AutoCAD, Inventor, Cadstar or similar tools.
- Good practical electrical and electronic testing skills.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and industrial machinery requirements.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
