The Company
White Label Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering manufacturer that designs and builds complex heavy industrial equipment for customers across the UK and internationally. With a strong reputation for engineering excellence and continued investment in new projects, they're looking to strengthen their Electrical Design team with the appointment of an Electrical Design Engineer.

The Role
Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for complex engineered products, ensuring designs meet customer specifications, industry standards and project deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control system layouts.
- Designing electrical panels, components and complete electrical systems.
- Selecting suitable electrical components and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Working closely with Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Project teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Supporting prototype builds, testing and commissioning activities.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Troubleshooting electrical design issues during manufacturing and testing.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and design standardisation.
- Supporting projects through to successful completion, ensuring quality, safety and delivery targets are achieved.
About You
We're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer who has:
- A Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience designing electrical systems for industrial equipment, heavy machinery, rail, special purpose machinery or similar engineered products.
- Experience using Electrical CAD packages such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- A good understanding of electrical systems, control systems and PLCs.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
- Office-based role in Burton upon Trent.
- 37-hour working week with an early finish every Friday.
