An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join an established MEP contractor delivering major engineering and infrastructure works as part of the HS2 programme in West London.

The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering support across a technically complex infrastructure project, working closely with project management, design teams, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines to ensure electrical packages are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

About the Role

The Electrical Engineer will support the technical delivery and coordination of electrical installation packages, ensuring works are delivered in line with approved design, programme, quality and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of electrical packages across the HS2 project.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, civil and other project disciplines.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, designers and site management.
  • Monitor installation progress, quality and technical compliance.
  • Assist with technical queries, RFIs and design coordination.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues throughout project delivery.
  • Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Ensure electrical installations meet project specifications and relevant standards.
  • Maintain strong health & safety and quality standards.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical input where required.

Requirements

  • Experience working as an Electrical Engineer within construction, MEP or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of electrical building services and installation.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical information.
  • Previous experience on major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
  • Strong technical, communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project environment.
  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Appropriate CSCS/site-based certification.
