Electrical Engineer (Industrial/Commercial) in Dudley

We are recruiting an experienced Electrician to join a well-established specialist in electrical earthing, lightning protection and surge protection systems.

Working across industrial and commercial environments, you will be involved in the installation, testing and maintenance of specialist systems that protect buildings, infrastructure and equipment from lightning strikes, electrical faults and power surges.

THE ROLE

• Installing, inspecting, testing and maintaining lightning protection and electrical earthing systems.

• Working on a variety of industrial and commercial sites across the UK.

• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

• Travelling to customer sites nationwide, including occasional overnight stays.

• Working collaboratively with other engineers and site teams to deliver a high-quality service.

• Maintaining professional standards when representing the business on customer sites.

THE PERSON

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A valid JIB Gold Card – this must be verified before your CV can be submitted.

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

• AM2 qualification.

• Previous experience working within industrial and/or commercial environments.

• A flexible approach to working hours and overtime.

• The ability to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required.

You should be reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working independently across a range of customer sites.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• £45,000 annual salary.

• Permanent, Monday to Friday position.

• 45-hour working week.

• Company van and fuel card, with the option for private use.

• Float to cover expenses such as parking.

• 22 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.

• Door-to-door travel paid under the contracting arrangement.

• Overtime paid at 1.5x for weekend work and work starting before 6am.

• No call-out rota.

• Approximately six nights away from home per month on average, with flexibility required as the team expands.
