Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: NW3
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum DOE.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Trevett Services are delighted to be partnering with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a dedicated engineering team on a large hospital site.

This is a static role working within a critical healthcare environment, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and minor installation works across a wide range of electrical building services. This position offers long-term stability, ongoing training and the opportunity to work within a highly professional engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems and associated plant.
  • Undertake reactive maintenance to minimise downtime across the site.
  • Complete minor electrical installation works when required.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems in line with current regulations.
  • Maintain emergency lighting, power distribution, lighting circuits and control systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
  • Accurately complete electronic maintenance records and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, site management and the client to ensure service delivery standards are maintained.
  • Participate in an on-call rota where applicable.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • Proven experience working within critical and commercial building maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

Desirable

  • Experience working within hospitals, healthcare environments or other critical facilities.
  • Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent).
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
