Electrical Engineer – Experience & Qualifications

Location: Colindale (with travel as required)
Salary: £48,003 – £53,172

Essential Qualifications & Professional Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related discipline), or equivalent professional experience
• Training in Building Services Engineering, energy, or sustainability, or equivalent experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable:

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards accreditation (e.g., IET, CIBSE)

Experience Required

Essential Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ Electrical Engineering experience (UK-based preferred)
• Experience delivering projects from concept to completion
• Experience managing contractors and administering construction contracts
• Strong budget management and cost control experience
• Knowledge of public sector procurement and governance

Desirable Experience:

• Energy efficiency and decarbonisation project delivery
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and multidisciplinary environments

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Electrical system design with a focus on sustainable/low-carbon solutions
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practice
• Understanding of project frameworks (e.g., RIBA Plan of Work)
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and Building Safety legislation
• Ability to manage risk, compliance, and performance
