Electrical Engineer | Vienna, Austria

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project in Vienna, Austria.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a large-scale, technically complex data centre project, working closely with the Electrical Project Manager and wider construction team.

Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise electrical installation works on site.
• Plan and schedule daily works for electrical teams and subcontractors.
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, ensuring progress against programme.
• Supervise the installation of electrical systems, equipment and materials.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards, permits and relevant codes.
• Coordinate electrical works with Civil, Mechanical and other project teams to avoid clashes.
• Review method statements, work procedures and technical requirements.
• Track scope changes, engineering changes, technical queries and non-conformances.
• Liaise with the Electrical Project Manager on design requirements and project issues.
• Monitor site progress and report key issues to senior management.
• Support and develop electrical team members, including training and performance management.

Electrical Engineer Key Requirements

• Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer or Industrial Engineer.
• 10+ years' experience in a similar Electrical Engineering role.
• Previous data centre experience is essential.
• Strong experience supervising electrical installation works on major construction projects.
• Good understanding of electrical construction, coordination and site delivery.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong IT and engineering software skills.
• Ability to manage workload, prioritise effectively and work independently.
• Strong team leadership and subcontractor coordination skills.
