This is a well-established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects across the South East. Working across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, they have built long-standing relationships with a wide range of clients through their commitment to quality, safety and reliable project delivery.
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders across a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, working closely with the commercial and delivery teams to secure new business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to produce detailed cost estimates.
- Complete material take-offs and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assess labour, plant and material requirements to ensure commercially viable submissions.
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and the internal project team throughout the tender process.
- Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required.
- Prepare and submit tender documents within agreed deadlines.
- Support project handovers to the delivery team following successful tender awards.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and stay up to date with current market rates, products and industry standards.
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the building services or M&E sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations across commercial and residential projects.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Experience producing detailed estimates from first principles.
- Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as Amtech, Trimble, ConQuest or similar.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
