This is a well-established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects across the South East. Working across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, they have built long-standing relationships with a wide range of clients through their commitment to quality, safety and reliable project delivery.

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders across a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, working closely with the commercial and delivery teams to secure new business.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.
  • Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to produce detailed cost estimates.
  • Complete material take-offs and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assess labour, plant and material requirements to ensure commercially viable submissions.
  • Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and the internal project team throughout the tender process.
  • Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents within agreed deadlines.
  • Support project handovers to the delivery team following successful tender awards.
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and stay up to date with current market rates, products and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the building services or M&E sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installations across commercial and residential projects.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Experience producing detailed estimates from first principles.
  • Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as Amtech, Trimble, ConQuest or similar.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
