We are a well-established and highly respected employer seeking an experienced Electrical Facilities Engineer to join our team in a hands-on role with responsibility for the installation, maintenance, inspection and testing of electrical systems across our site.
Our team is experienced, collaborative and supported by robust maintenance systems that ensure smooth day to day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified professional looking to take ownership of a site's electrical infrastructure.
You will be responsible for ensuring electrical infrastructure, machinery installations and life safety systems remain safe, compliant, reliable and operational, working both independently and alongside internal teams and external contractors.

Duties of an Electrical Facilities Engineer
- Install, maintain, inspect and test electrical systems across the site.
- Work on both low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) electrical equipment.
- Maintain and support industrial electrical installations, including three phase systems.
- Work with HV equipment, transformers and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure electrical systems and machinery installations meet relevant safety and statutory requirements.
- Manage inspection and testing programmes, ensuring records, certification and documentation are maintained accurately.
- Maintain and test life safety systems, including emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
- Identify electrical issues and undertake appropriate corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure safe systems of work are followed and promote a strong electrical safety culture.
- Manage external contractors and specialist electrical service providers.
- Take ownership of the site's electrical systems and ensure priorities are effectively managed.
Requirements of an Electrical Facilities Engineer
- Relevant electrical qualifications with strong practical experience, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Proven experience with industrial electrical installations, including three phase systems.
- Experience working with HV equipment and transformers.
- A strong understanding of electrical inspection, testing and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience with emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
- Experience managing statutory inspection and testing programmes, including maintaining records and certification.
- A strong understanding of electrical safety and safe systems of work.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of electrical systems.
- Experience managing external contractors and specialist electrical service providers.
- A proactive, practical and hands on approach to electrical engineering and maintenance.
