Hours: Full-time (Mon to Thur: 8:30 - 17:00, Fri: 16:30)

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Apprenticeship Skills Co-ordinator to support and develop apprentices studying the Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship Standard. About the Role

As an Electrical Installation Assessor, you will support apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, working closely with employers to ensure learners make excellent progress and achieve their qualifications within agreed timescales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and supporting a caseload of Electrical Installation apprentices.
  • Conducting regular progress reviews, assessments and workplace observations.
  • Supporting apprentices with gathering portfolio evidence both on and off the job.
  • Providing advice, guidance, coaching and individual support to learners.
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and tracking apprentice progress.
  • Working closely with employers to ensure apprentices receive appropriate workplace training and support.
  • Assessing employer suitability and apprenticeship roles against apprenticeship standards and KSBs.
  • Supporting Gateway preparation and End Point Assessment planning.
  • Promoting apprenticeships through employer engagement, events and recruitment activities.
  • Supporting learners with maths and English development where required.
What We're Looking For Essential
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (or willingness to work towards).
  • Recognised Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33 or equivalent), or willingness to work towards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively use ICT systems to maintain learner records
  • A commitment to supporting apprentices, employers and learner success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build productive relationships with employers and colleagues.
Desirable
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification (V1/D34).
  • Teaching qualification (CertEd, Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or equivalent).
  • Experience of managing an apprenticeship caseload.
  • Experience of assessing learners in the workplace.
  • Experience of improving learner achievement and success rates.
