Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Electrical Installation Engineer to join their team.
This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days are necessarily the same. You'll work across commercial and industrial sites, installing, testing and maintaining a range of electrical systems while representing a respected business with a strong reputation for quality and customer service.

The role
You'll carry out electrical installation and maintenance work across commercial and industrial properties throughout the South East and West Midlands.
Your work will include installing and working with systems such as:
- Emergency lighting
- Fire alarm systems
- Access control
- EV charging equipment
- Other commercial electrical systems
You'll also carry out testing, inspection and planned preventative maintenance, complete electronic job sheets and ensure every project is delivered safely, professionally and to a high standard.
You'll be customer-facing, so your ability to communicate professionally and take pride in your work will be just as important as your technical skills.
What you'll be doing
As an Electrical Installation Engineer, you'll:
- Complete electrical installation and maintenance work across commercial and industrial sites.
- Install, test and commission electrical systems and equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspection/testing.
- Diagnose faults and resolve electrical issues where required.
- Work on emergency lighting, fire alarms, access control and EV charging systems.
- Complete accurate electronic job sheets and project documentation.
- Travel to customer sites across the South East and West Midlands.
- Work safely and in accordance with current electrical regulations.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers and site teams.
- Take ownership of your work and deliver a consistently high standard.
About you
We're looking for a qualified Electrician, Electrical Installation Engineer, Electrical Field Service Engineer or Commercial Electrician who enjoys working in a varied field-based environment.
You'll need:
- ECS Gold Card – essential
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – essential
- City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection – essential
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical installation experience
- A strong understanding of electrical regulations and safe working practices
- Good customer service and communication skills
- A professional, reliable and proactive approach
- IPAF qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential.
Where you'll work
This is a field-based role, with work primarily across the South East and West Midlands.
You could be working across areas including Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Luton and surrounding areas, depending on project requirements.
Occasional overnight stays and evening/night work may be required for certain projects. You'll receive good notice wherever possible, with hotel accommodation, meals/food allowance and any applicable stay-away payments provided.
