Electrical Maintenance Electrician

Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Electrician to join an established business based in Harlow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician with a strong maintenance background to join a stable company and play an important role in keeping electrical systems, machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

As an Electrical Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs across the site.

You will work proactively to minimise downtime and ensure equipment and electrical systems remain safe, reliable and compliant.

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on machinery and equipment.

• Carry out electrical testing, inspections and repairs.

• Fault-find using appropriate electrical test equipment.

• Maintain and repair electrical systems, machinery and site equipment.

• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.

• Assist with preventative maintenance programmes.

• Identify potential electrical issues and recommend improvements.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Follow company health and safety procedures.

• Work alongside other members of the maintenance and engineering team.

• Assist with general engineering and maintenance duties where required.

• Qualified electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.

• Previous experience in an electrical maintenance role.

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Good understanding of electrical systems and industrial machinery.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

• Reliable, practical and hands-on approach to maintenance.

• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Experience with machinery maintenance.

• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

• Experience with three-phase electrical systems.

• Experience with motors, sensors, control panels and electrical equipment.

• Electrical inspection and testing experience.

• Previous experience working within a planned preventative maintenance environment.

• £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
