Branta Recruitment is working with a reputable Facilities Services provider to recruit a skilled Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a regional role across Yorkshire.

You’ll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, testing, and reactive repairs on commercial electrical systems across diverse properties, including commercial offices, retail outlets, educational estates, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will be a time-served electrician holding Level 3 qualifications, with 2391 Inspection & Testing and Electric Vehicle (EV) charger installation/maintenance experience highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across client sites.

  • Conduct fixed wire testing, electrical inspection, and issue relevant certification (EICRs) where required.

  • Perform fault diagnosis, circuit tracing, and repair on 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems.

  • Service, maintain, and fault-find on commercial lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and control panels.

  • Support ongoing EV charging point maintenance, inspections, and new infrastructure rollouts.

  • Participate in a regional emergency on-call rota (additional pay provided).

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or NVQ Level 3 equivalent).

  • City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).

  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing certification (highly desirable).

  • EV Charging Point Installation / Maintenance qualification (e.g., C&G 2919) (desirable).

  • Proven track record in a commercial electrical maintenance or mobile engineering role.

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
