Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Cambridge

You’ll carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial estates, ensuring systems are safe, compliant and operating efficiently. You’ll represent the business professionally on client sites, delivering a reliable, first‑time‑fix service wherever possible.

Key responsibilities include:

• PPM and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial buildings
• Fault‑finding on electrical systems, distribution boards, 3‑phase equipment and building services plant
• Minor installations, repairs and remedials
• Emergency lighting testing and repairs
• Fire alarm checks and basic support
• Supporting wider building services (HVAC electrics, motors, controls)
• Completing job sheets and updates
• Working within RAMS, SFG20 and Permit‑to‑Work requirements
• Participating in the call‑out rota

What You Need

• NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical (Installation or Maintenance)
• 18th Edition (BS 7671)
• 2391‑52 desirable (not essential)
• Strong commercial or industrial background (not domestic)
• Confident with 3‑phase systems, distribution boards, containment and plant‑room environments
• Solid fault‑finding ability
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working independently across a mobile patch
