The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious commercial office building in St James's, Central London.
This is a static position supporting an eight-storey commercial office building, carrying out predominantly landlord maintenance with responsibility for one tenant area. Working closely with the On-Site Manager, you'll attend weekly client meetings and play a key role in maintaining a first-class service for the client.
The role is ideal for an electrically qualified engineer who is technically strong, professional and confident dealing with clients in a high-profile environment.
There is a requirement to work 36 Saturdays per year, although the role is largely job and finish, with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Complete weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting tests.
- Undertake plant room inspections and statutory compliance checks.
- Monitor and respond to BMS alarms.
- Carry out water treatment duties, including tap temperature monitoring.
- Maintain lighting, power and general building services systems.
- Oversee specialist subcontractors carrying out technical works.
- Attend weekly meetings with the client and Site Manager.
- Complete maintenance reports and compliance documentation.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Commercial building maintenance experience.
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Professional, client-facing approach with excellent communication skills.
